Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 September 2026
This policy explains what Affpilot collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and, if you give one, a phone number.
- Content you create — keywords, prompts, generated articles and images, and the settings you choose.
- Connections you set up — WordPress site addresses and application passwords, and any API keys you enter. These are stored so the service can act on your behalf and are never shown to other users.
- Billing records — what you bought, when, and how much you paid. Card numbers never reach our servers; the payment processor handles them.
- Technical logs — errors and job history, kept so we can fix problems.
2. Why we use it
To run the service, to take payment, to send you the emails the service needs to send (verification, receipts, renewal and failure notices), and to support you when something goes wrong. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your generated content to train models.
3. Who else sees it
Only the processors the service depends on, and only the part they need: AI providers (the prompt and the text they generate), the payment processors (your name, email and the amount), our email provider (your address and the message), and our hosting provider. Each is bound by its own agreement with us.
4. Where it lives and how long
Data is stored on servers we control. Account and billing records are kept while your account is open and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Generated content stays until you delete it or close your account. Support chats are deleted 12 months after the last message (see section 5).
5. Support chats: Facebook Messenger and the website chat
You can ask us questions by messaging the Affpilot Facebook Page, which Meta forwards to our support system, or through the chat bubble on our website. This section covers both.
What we receive and keep.
- For Messenger, the Page-scoped ID Messenger gives your chat with our Page (a number that identifies you only to our Page). We do not request your name, profile picture or friends. For the website chat, your Affpilot account if you are signed in, otherwise a random code kept in a cookie in your browser. Your internet address is never stored.
- The text of each message you send, when it arrived and, for Messenger, Meta's message ID (so we never answer the same message twice). For a photo, file or voice message we keep only a note of its type, not the file.
- The reply our assistant drafted, the reply actually sent, the help articles it was based on, whether a person took over, and which staff member approved it.
- The language you wrote in, so we answer in the same language.
- If you connected a Messenger chat to your Affpilot account using the link inside your signed-in account, the link between the two. Only then, or when you use the website chat while signed in, can the assistant look up your own account details (such as your word balance, plan expiry, articles and payments) to answer you. We never connect a chat to an account because someone typed an email address.
Why. Only to answer your questions and keep a support history our team can follow up on. We do not use chat data for advertising, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
How it is processed. Your message and the relevant help articles are sent to an AI text provider (Google Cloud Vertex AI or Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, depending on our settings) to write a reply. In Messenger a member of our team reads that draft and decides whether to send, edit or discard it; on the website the reply is shown straight away. Questions about payments, refunds or complaints are always handed to a person. In Messenger we reply only within Messenger's 24-hour window after your message and never send promotional messages.
How long. Conversations, drafts and replies are kept for 12 months after your last message, then deleted automatically. If your Affpilot account is deleted, every chat connected to it is deleted too. One-time account-linking codes expire after 24 hours.
Deleting it sooner. Follow the steps at https://app.affpilot.com/data-deletion/, send "Delete my data" to our Facebook Page, or email help@affpilot.com. We delete it within 30 days, normally much sooner, and confirm when it is done. This does not remove the copy Meta keeps in your own Messenger app, which you can delete yourself; Meta's handling of your messages is covered by Meta's own privacy policy.
6. Your choices
You can see and edit your account details in the app, delete articles you no longer want, and ask us to delete your account entirely. Ask, and we will confirm when it is done. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
7. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to protect forms from cross-site request forgery, and, if you use the website chat while signed out, to remember which chat is yours. That is all — there are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.
9. Children
The service is not for anyone under 16.
10. Contact
